Mathcounts Competition
The MATHCOUNTS Competition is a national middle school coaching and competitive mathematics program that promotes mathematics achievement through a series of fun and engaging "bee" style contests.  The program exists in all 50 states plus U.S. territories and the Department of Defense and State Department schools and is supported by the National Society of Professional Engineers at the state and local levels.  Public, private, religious and home schools alike are eligible to participate, as long as students are in the sixth, seventh and/or eighth grade.

Oregon Robotics Tournament and Outreach Program
To open doors to the worlds of science and technology for Oregon's youth, by delivering the FIRST programs to 6- to 18-year-old youngsters, with a focus on reaching those who might not otherwise participate because of their race, gender, or socio-economic status.

CH2M Hill / OSU High School Bridge Contest
The construction and testing of model bridges promotes the study and application of fundamental principles physics and also helps high school students develop "hands on" skills through bridge construction. By participating in the Bridge Building Competition students get a flavor of what it is to be an Engineer, designing structures to a set of specifications and then seeing them perform their function. They are also provided with an academically-oriented extracurricular activity which is recognized school-wide.
