Engineering Project Manager – ODOT Experience

Century West is looking for a Project Manager with 10+ years of experience, including five or more years of experience either as an employee with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) or as a consultant on ODOT projects. The successful candidate will have a key role in implementing our plan for securing work under Century West's Tier A Full-Service Price Agreement with ODOT. This position is ideal for a candidate who is self-driven and thrives in a flexible working environment.
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
• Proven experience serving as the primary contact for ODOT projects
• Willingness to help forge long-term relationships with key clients
• Skilled in business development and marketing
The responsibilities of the chosen candidate will include:
• Identifying and leading business development opportunities with new clients
• Maintaining relationships with existing clients to pursue future opportunities
• Managing project teams including in-house staff and subconsultants
• Leading the development of plans and specifications
• Completing QA/QC of deliverables
• Representing Century West at appropriate conferences and other professional events
• Other responsibilities as they arise
Position requirements include:
• An Oregon Professional Engineering license in civil engineering
• Proven business development and project management experience
• At least 10 years of experience in the planning, design, and/or construction supervision of public works projects

POSITION: Assistant City Engineer
Exempt, Non-Represented
Grade 24 - $6,982 - $8,582 / month

The City of Redmond, Oregon is seeking an Assistant City Engineer to join the Engineering Department. The Assistant City Engineer position is being reestablished primarily to help the team review public improvements associated with development, but there are a number of other responsibilities that make this a varied and interesting position. The Assistant City Engineer will work with the Transportation, Water, Wastewater and Parks Divisions of Public Works as well as Community Development and other city departments to plan, design and manage construction of street, accessibility, bicycle, water production, storage and distribution, wastewater collection, storm drainage, parks and trail capital improvement projects.

Mandatory Requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or related field, from an accredited university, plus at least five (5) years verifiable work experience in design and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects; or any equivalent combination of education and verifiable work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the described duties.
Requires thorough specialized knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of civil engineering. Considerable knowledge of public works construction methods, materials, techniques, policies, rules, regulations, ordinances, and codes applied to the design and construction of public works facilities. Ability to apply and adapt modern engineering principles, methods, and techniques to the design and management of public works projects. Ability to plan, schedule, and review the work of technical staff. Ability to prepare designs, cost estimates and related correspondence. Ability to communicate technical concepts to others.
Special Requirements/Licenses: Must be certified as a current Professional Engineer and must be able to obtain registration in Oregon within six (6) months.
Possession of, or required to obtain within thirty (30) days from date of hire, a valid Oregon driver's license. Must have a safe driving record.
Desirable Requirements:
• Two (2) years verifiable work experience in a municipal (city/county) government performing similar duties as described
• Seven (7) years verifiable work experience in design and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects

SALARY: $5,904.20 - $7,921.62 Monthly
$70,850.40 - $95,059.44 Annually

Salary Ranges:
Engineering Technician II: $5,904.20 - $7,176.60 per month

Engineering Technician II - Telecommunications AND Engineering Associate II - Telecommunications

Under direction of the Electrical Engineering Supervisor, this position is responsible for the effective engineering, design and implementation of telecommunications solutions in conformance with Central Lincoln's telecom policies, processes, procedures, standards, and guidelines as well as industry standards and regulations. Specifically, these services are provided in support of building out, upgrading, operating, and maintaining Central Lincoln's telecommunications infrastructure, private radio networks and systems, fiber optic networks and systems, microwave network and systems and leased telecom services (when needed).

Engineering Associate II - Telecommunications
This position will also perform entry-level electrical engineering design and assist with project management activities related to the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and rehabilitation of electric transmission and substations along with related facilities. The position requires knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures including materials, equipment and techniques used in professional-level work in the field of engineering and project management. The position works under close or continuing supervision and requires limited exercise of judgment when developing designs and design criteria, determining methodology and developing alternatives. Maintain and continue build out of substation security camera system.
