2019 Oregon Infrastructure Summit
October 20-21, 2019
Salem Convention Center, Salem, Oregon

Join us in October for the first infrastructure summit—initiating a discussion and sharing information that begins to 'set the infrastructure table.' The summit is intended to provide a venue for the exchange of ideas focused around understanding and articulating the interconnectedness of basic infrastructure with community and economic development.  Learn more at https://www.oregon4biz.com/Infrastructure-Summit/.

Annual Owner's Forum
November 7th
This year's topic is "How Owners Deliver Billion Dollar Infrastructure Programs". The event consists of a moderated panel discussion with Owners from WSDOT, Sound Transit, and the California Department of General Services as they share their knowledge and experiences from managing billion dollar construction programs across the west coast. This will be a great opportunity for professionals in Portland to hear about lessons learned from partner agencies from across the Pacific Northwest.
Tom Peterson, former Chief Engineer for the Port of Portland, will moderate a panel discussion featuring the following professionals:
- Julie Meredith, WSDOT, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Mega Programs
- Matt Preedy, Sound Transit, Director of Construction Management
- Richard Standiford, California Department of General Services, Project Director

On August 8, 1907, the first professional engineering license was issued to Charles Bellamy in Wyoming. Since that time, licensure has expanded and professional engineers across the U.S. have made the commitment to protect the public health, safety, and welfare. NSPE is celebrating licensed professional engineers with the second annual Professional Engineers Day on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Join us as we raise awareness about what it means to be a PE, recognize licensed PEs, and show appreciation for the work they do each and every day.
